Hurricane season started on June 1st and ended on November 30th, so it has gone by quickly.

If you don’t already know, hurricanes can cause much damage to land. The categories of hurricanes are one to five, one with the least wind, and five with the strongest winds. One of the most recent hurricanes that hit Florida was Hurricane Idlia, which hit Keaton Beach in Florida’s Big Bend. The US gets many tropical storms, which are smaller-sized hurricanes and give a lot of rain. If a hurricane hits Tampa, South Florida will still get many effects besides massive destruction.

To help prepare for hurricanes, people buy water and food, preferably food that doesn’t need to be put in a fridge or chilled. Some of these foods include cereal without the milk and crackers.
