American football is a beloved sport. Everyone loves this sport. Personally, some of the best memories I have with my family are playing football on holidays. Unfortunately, many pro football players suffer many injuries, daily. Many suffer from knee injuries, concussions, back pain, and heat injuries are very common. Some football players have also been diagnosed with ALS, a neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. That’s some pretty scary stuff to think about. This leaves us wondering: is football worth the long term injuries players endure? Many would argue no, but it’s difficult for some to just give up playing. Pro players’ passion is football so it is not something they can just stop. Fortunately, coaches train players on proper ways to stretch, cool down, and play football. There will always be a risk so it is important to always be cautious, pro or not.
