Kids have a ton of options to make money in this generation. Back in the day kid’s only option of getting a couple of bucks was slaving away at a minimum wage job for a couple of hours during the week. The best way to make money as a kid is for them to tap into their inner entrepreneur! The combination of a child’s entrepreneur spirit and today’s advanced technology means the sky is the limit in terms of income potential. Making extra money doesn’t have to mean slaving away working at a minimum wage job that kids don’t like. Having a little bit of creative thought and knowing their natural talents can only prove profitable for children but can help them learn new skills and sharpen their talents as well. You can do thousands of jobs on this list, but it just depends on how much effort you are willing into it.

Plenty of kids make good money running lemonade stands. There is even an organization called Lemonade Day that provides resources to help children learn the entrepreneur skills needed to successfully run a stand. Doing lawn work for the neighbors can be a good way to get outside while earning cash at the same time. Walking other people’s dogs can introduce kids to the wonderful world of pets, especially if you aren’t ready for your own dog to care for. Pet-sitting for vacationing neighbors is the perfect gateway job for preteens. Summer is also a great time to teach kids about charity and helping others. These types of jobs require responsibility.
