The 6th and 7th-grade awards ceremony on May 21, 2019, was to honor the students for honor roll for every semester, good conduct, and much more. This event was located in the gym.

Many students went to be honored by the district for all these good things they have done throughout the school year. Each student will get an award for many different things. A few of the awards can include 5% for good grades, best male or female dancer, good behavior, principal, and so much more.

At the ceremony, you all stand in a line with a folder with your name on it with your award inside.  You are then called up in line one by one. When you get to the top you give the paper to Mr. Fill if you’re in 7th and Mrs. Ingersoll if you’re in 6th. They call your name and award(s) you’ve won. You walk down and shake Mrs. Bennett’s hand. Depending on the award you got, you to get something different. For instance, if you got “top 5%” you got a medal and if you got “principals” you got a trophy.
