During this Summer you may have realized a lot of beaches have been closing lately. You can go to the beach, but you cannot go in the water. This is because of unidentified bacteria in the water. Our beaches are infected with a bacteria called enterococcus- a resilient bacteria that thrive in saltwater and can cause stomach distress, skin infections, headaches, and fevers. Multiple people have already been affected by this bacteria virus.

Bacteria levels should be lowering soon so beaches will be safe to swim in. This should take about a couple of days or maybe even a few weeks. Well, whenever the beaches get better (hopefully soon) we will all be waiting!
