On 8/26 the Hurricane that caused many problems was born. Hurricane Dorian was spotted on Monday 8/26 as a tropical storm and only got stronger from that point. On Wednesday 8/28 Dorian became a Hurricane and was moving at a very slow speed. Due to how slow Dorian was going it allowed Dorian to become the strongest Category 5 hurricane the Bahamas has ever faced and the second strongest hurricane in the world to make landfall. Hurricane Dorian had meteorologists confused for quite some bit because of how Dorian went from becoming a tropical depression on 8/30 to destroying the Bahamas on 9/3- 9/4.

Dorian lasted around one day in the Bahamas and flattened the Bahamas in the process. Dorian killed many people and many are still missing. This is because many Bahamians weren’t expecting to be hit due to the randomness of the hurricane. As of 9/5 20 Bahamians were killed and over 50 are missing. Although there are many deaths 135 people and 6 pets have been rescued as of 9/5. That’s not where Dorian stops, Dorian is making his way to the Carolinas and has already caused 221,000 power outages in three states. Dorian has made Georgia make an immediate evacuation on the coast. Although Dorian is only expected to hit the Carolinas as a strong category 2 and may reach a category 4 many people are leaving the Carolinas to escape possible disaster.
