Some animals are getting closer and closer to becoming extinct like their ancestors before them. Lion Country Safari is welcoming two new members to the family, a White rhino and a Siamang Gibbon ape. Both of these animals are endangered to this day. White rhinos became endangered in the 1980s, in 2008 they were declared extinct in the wild.  In 2008 the Siamang Gibbons became listed as endangered. Lion Country Safari was able to obtain these two animals. These animals became endangered because of loss of habitat and poachers.

These two new animals are named Bash (White rhino) and Onyx ( Siamang Gibbon). Both for these animals are giving us a chance to appreciate what we have before we lose these animals. You can see these two animals in the safari. We are given a chance to see these animals that will very soon not be around because of our fault so let’s look at this as an opportunity and meet these amazing animals that will not be around forever.
