Do you ever feel stuck in your room staring at a computer, wishing you could be somewhere else?

Having school outdoors is a great way to get out of the standard routine of bedrooms and classrooms. Founder and CEO of Hipcamp, Alyssa Ravasio, has said just outside having many health benefits, including boosting immune systems, improving the respiratory system, and reducing anxiety.

There are also many mental benefits that could improve school performance such as enhancing our memory and focus, building creativity, and reducing stress.

A study in California showed that students learning outside scored higher than the students learning in regular classrooms in both academics and attendance. Ming Kuo of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign said in regard to learning outside, “Being able to pay more attention, being less stressed, and being happier… can have real effects on … kids.”

Having school outdoors is proven to be beneficial for your health, your mind, and your grade. It’s a win-win-win!
