Gitanjali Rao: The Change of Today

Gitanjali Rao is an Indian-American born on November 19, 2005. She is an  inventor, author, scientist, engineer, and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) promoter. She has earned many awards throughout her life, and has even written a book called “A Young Innovator’s Guide to STEM”. 


Gitanjali has earned many awards throughout the years, including being honored with the United States Environmental Protection Agency President’s Environmental Youth Award in 2018. She has also been awarded the  Top “Health” Pillar Prize for the TCS Ignite Innovation Student Challenge in 2019. On December 4th, she was declared “Kid of the Year” in 2020!

Gitanjali’s New Book

Gitanjali’s new book, “A Young Innovator’s Guide to STEM” strives to impact students, teachers, and educators to adapt to a new learning style and one that can have a positive impact on society! 

Like Gitanjali has said, ““If I can do it, you can do it and anyone can do it”! Gitanjali has inspired many young children across the world to do good for the world and society!
