Why I Care About Being Successful

School can be difficult especially if you’re not in a good state of mind. I used to ask my mom, “Why do I have to attend college?” or tell her, “I’m not going to college.” Looking back, I would especially never say this because I want to be very successful at my job and living life as an adult.

School is very important, and it didn’t take me long to realize that. When I got into middle school it was like everything changed from “Yay, I got an 80 on my test!” to now being “Ew, I got an 80 on my test.” Now, this may be a very good score to some people, but to my family and me, it’s not considered great.

Being in school at this age is like a test. Should I study or should I snap people back on Snapchat? Usually what ends up happening is I end up choosing to open my snaps and I get carried away, and before I know it, it’s almost 12:00 am. I need to go to bed, but I didn’t study so now I have to wake up early and try to cram my brain with knowledge.

That was an extremely bad habit for me which caused me to not do my best at school. In order to fix this problem, I had to keep my phone and all other distractions out of my vision while doing school work.

I’ve chosen to focus greatly in school this year due to the fact that I care a lot about being successful.
