On April 17th, 2022, NASA confirmed the path of the mysterious comet that is coming close toward Earth.

This bright comet was first seen in October of 2014. However, it wasn’t until eight years later that NASA determined the size and path of the comet. According to their studies, the comet named ‘C/2014 UN271’ is an estimated 128 kilometers wide and is coming near Earth at about an estimated 22 kilometers per hour.

NASA predicts that the closest the comet will come is in 2031, which is nine years from now.  There are suspicions that the comet may be heading dangerously close to Earth. Still, NASA reassures that if it continues on its path, it will be an estimated one billion miles away from Earth.

In history, this is undoubtedly a big step for scientists and astronomers. As of now, they are ready to uncover a new fascinating discovery to contribute to this miracle in space.
