DeSantis stated that he wanted Florida to end Walt Disney’s self-serving government.

Walt Disney World has been around since 1967 and Walt Disney came to its government,  but recently DeSantis had been wanting to take down the government to where they have control of the theme parks.

DeSantis states in his most recent conference, “I am announcing today that we are expanding the call of what they are going to be considering this week,” Gov. Ron DeSantis said at a morning news conference in The Villages. “Yes, they will be considering the congressional map, but they also will be considering termination of all special districts that were enacted in Florida before 1968 — and that includes the Reedy Creek Improvement District.”

The Reed Creek Improvement District is a special taxing district and governing body for the Walt Disney World Resorts.

Just a couple of days ago it has been announced that Governor Desantis signed the paper and has complete ownership of Walt Disney. That they no longer have their own self-serving government.
