Blue, Orange, and Green?

Blue, Orange, and Green?

This year, the lanyards for 6th graders are blue, 7th graders are orange, and 8th graders are green. But, last year, 6th graders were orange, 7th graders were green, and 8th graders were blue. This year, many 7th and 8th graders get confused about the lanyard colors since they were so used to last year’s colors.

Rebeca Munoz, an 8th grader at Wellington Landings says, “I think that they should keep one color for each grade so that every year your lanyard would change. Although it might not be convenient for students because they can’t use their previous lanyards, it would be easier to identify each grade for students and teachers.”

Alexa Oddo, a 7th grader at Wellington Landings says, “When I was a 6th grader, I was used to 7th being green and 8th being blue, so it was weird seeing the 6th graders with blue and 7th grade with orange.” Alexa didn’t officially feel like a 7th grader because she didn’t have a green lanyard, instead, she was stuck with an orange one. “I think they should keep a color for each grade, either way, we get a new lanyard every year.”
