Meet our new 8th grade science teacher Ms.Browne. Below is a Q&A conducted with her.

Q: Why did you choose to become a teacher?

A:  I absolutely loved school as a kid and my teachers made such a lasting impression on me. I wanted to be that for other kids.

Q: How long have you been teaching?

A:   This is my 15th year.

Q: What is it like teaching middle schoolers?

A: FUN! This age group is funny and they keep me on my toes!

Q: Why did you choose to come to teach at Wellington Landings?

A: WLMS has an amazing reputation. Also it’s my community zoned school and my twins were starting here as 6th graders.

Q: How are you feeling about this school year? Why?

A: To be honest a little overwhelming at first, but it seems to be getting easier each day. I’ve been teaching elementary school for 14 years so this was a huge adjustment for me. I’m also super excited about learning about middle school life!

Q: What are your teaching strategies to help your students learn better?

A: Having a lot of energy and keeping the kids engaged as much as possible.

Q: What are your hobbies outside of school?

A: hanging with my family, playing soccer, gardening, reading, playing my dogs

Q: Where did you grow up?

A: Syracuse, NY

Q: Which college did you attend?

A: SUNY Brockport
