Room For Debate: FAST vs. FSA
September 20, 2022
Out with the old, in with the new for standardized testing. Mixed opinions have been going around about the brand new F.A.S.T testing. We gathered two students to share their opinions on F.A.S.T and FSA testing.

I know I’m late for this, but you have done a great job on the Room for Debate articles! They look great!

I definitely agree with Kolee because when you take the F.A.S.T tests you have to stress all year with three tests to take. When you take the FSA you have a lot of time to complete it which gives you extra time to check your answers and really see if there are errors in your thinking, you also might find a question that you forgot to answer in the FSA. For these reasons I agree with Kolee and think the FSA should come back next year.

I think FAST is better because we can read when we’re done.

I like FSA better because they are roughly the same time and when the FSA is over I can draw or do work for other classes. There are more FAST tests throughout the year so it’s likely going to add up to the same amount/more than the FSA yearly total amount of time.

I like FAST testing better just for the time saving. I hated when last year we were all taking the FSA and had to wait sooo long doing nothing because we had to wait for other random classes to finish. FAST is a lot ..literally.. faster.

I agree with Alexa Oddo, I think the FAST testing is better than the FSA.
