In Middle School, we are supposed to be more independent. Our parents say we should, and so does the school. But how are we supposed to do that, if our parents don’t think we can and won’t let us?

At home, it’s really difficult to have that independence we are all told to have when parents are influencing our every move it seems.

When studying, if you’re pulling an all-nighter. Usually, you get yelled at for doing so, but then get told you aren’t trying hard enough or that you should study more.
Getting told things such as, “Oh, they are just doing what is best for you.” Is often upsetting, for even if this was the case, it is quite the opposite for kids.
