18-Year Old Pilot Makes Emergency Landing

This past Monday, an 18-year-old pilot faced a nightmare. He had to make an emergency landing and also had his family on board.
18-year-old Brock Peters recently got his pilot’s license and decided to fly his family for breakfast. He took off from Apple Valley California to Riverside Municipal Airport and that’s when disaster struck.Â
Brock heard a ‘boom’ noise and noticed that he lost all of his engine power. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to notify a nearby airport but he managed to call his mom. He later said that he could hear his grandmother crying in the back of the aircraft.
A frightening ten minutes later, he managed to make an emergency landing going underneath power lines and landing on El Cajon Boulevard. Fortunately, no one on the plane was hurt during the ordeal, and were safe.Â

This was very brave of the pilot. It would’ve been very frightening for him, so it’s amazing that he managed to work things out in a tough time.
