Students have stress in school like remembering to finish the science project, the ELA homework, and studying for the three tests they have tomorrow. Parents just add to the stress.

After school parents just repeat the saying “You can do that after you finish your homework.” Homework is a necessity that every kid knows that they have to do, it’s just the choice of whether they do it or not. But parents have expectations and whether they are high or low we all have to make them and when we don’t it’s just more work.

Most kids have chores to do so that is just another thing on the already long list to add. Most teachers have things due at 9:30 in the morning, but some teachers make the assignments due at 11:59. Students then have to go into work mode, especially if they have after-school activities. 

Parents can get mad if what they want you to do isn’t done, but they are also mad if you don’t get your homework done. Parents are supposed to be supportive of their kids, and if they aren’t, it can really discourage them.
