The Last Of Us original game came out on June 14th, 2013, and has risen in popularity after the HBO Max adaptation of the game premiered on January 15th, 2023.

The game and show starts in a post-apocalyptic world, and you control a character named Joel Miller, trying to survive from infected and FEDRA (Federal Disaster Response Agency.) Joel is struck with an important mission to deliver “cargo” a.k.a Ellie Williams, to a rebellion group called “The Fireflies.” Joel and Ellie cross states, encountering loss, fights and frights.

The creators of the show, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann (who wrote the story of the original game) have said that shooting the show was a tricky situation. “We shot more like 18-19 days per episode, which amounted to two and a half pages a day, maybe three.” Mazin said.

The adaptation has accumulated outstanding reviews from people that were interested in how the story would be adapted from the well-known game. Reviews like “FINALLY!!! A video game adaptation worthy of seeing! It just goes to show what can happen when you follow the source material, bring on the same people responsible for the success of the game, pour your heart into it, and have the original creator take the helm.” and “The show keeps everything great from the game while adding a level of cinematic satisfaction to every second of it… Pedro Pascal does an amazing job as Joel. His performance is convincing and layered, can’t wait to see how he dives into other parts of Joel’s journey.” (unnamed reviewers) have amazed viewers and inspired them to watch the show.

The show stars Pedro Pascal as Joel Miller, Bella Ramsey as Ellie Williams, and Anna Torv as Tess. It also includes Gabriel Luna as Tommy, and Nico Parker as Sarah. It’s worth a watch!
