Alec Baldwin, a 65 year old man, was charged for manslaughter.

In October 2021, Alec Baldwin was rehearsing for a scene in the movie “Rust” in New Mexico. He was handed a gun for the scene. However, he didn’t know that the gun was loaded. 

So, when he was aiming at the camera, he shot the gun and killed the cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured Joel Souza. 

He was brought to court and he claimed that he shouldn’t be responsible for the charges because he didn’t know that the gun was loaded. 

Even though Alec Baldwin’s charges have been dropped, Halyna Hutchins’ mother and sister are still continuing a civil lawsuit on Baldwin. 

Hutchins’ mother and sister say that Baldwin should still be charged because he pulled the trigger while aiming at Hutchins.

Even though Alec Baldwin’s charges have dropped, some people are still mad at him.
