One of Google’s AI models is being researched due to concerns about violating bloc’s privacy data rules.
The Irish Data Protection Commission said they have already started asking Google for information about their AI, PaLM2, Pathways Language Model 2, for research.
The Irish Data Commission has asked if Google’s AI model data processing is “high risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals” in the EU.
Not only has this happened to Google, but many other companies as well. X, formally known as Twitter, has had to stop processing user data for their chat bot, Grok. However, Elon only stopped once they were taken to court, and was threatened to be restricted by the Irish watchdog earlier this month.
Also, last year ChatGPT was banned for a short time by Italy’s data regulator because of data privacy intrusions.
