Last year, there was no school the day after Halloween, which benefitted kids a lot. This year, in 2024, the district is making all kids go to school the day after Halloween. Most students are very upset about this.
The day after Halloween is on a Friday, so it would make sense to just let the students stay home. Plus, the teachers probably wouldn’t teach a lot of material. They wouldn’t want to cram to much information into the student’s heads because it’s Saturday the next day.
If students don’t have to go to school the next day, they can stay out later and have more fun. If there is school the next day, most parents make their children go to bed earlier, which means they have to come home earlier.
Some parents may allow their children to stay home the next day, knowing that they probably won’t be doing any serious lessons.
No school the day after Halloween could also benefit the teachers. Instead of having to wake up early and teach classes, they could stay home and enjoy their long weekend.
