Tropical storm Hector and many others passed through Hawaii this past week. Bringing through so much rain that the beaches are on red flags but the storm is dropping enough rain to ease wildfire fears.
Even though there is a lot of rain soothing the wildfire fears, on the drier islands there is a higher chance of wildfires. There are new threats as tropical storm Hector has brought windspeeds up to 75 Kph. Even though there were high windspeeds, there were no threats to the mainland or any coastal warnings or watches.
Even though there is lots of rain and wind there is still lots of uncertainty for how long this will last. If Tropical Storm Hector shifts to the north it will bring less rain, but if it shifts to the left it will bring more. High pressure is expected to form over the islands and it’s going to bring breezy winds and dry conditions.
