The school has been using these decrepit chromebooks for far too long. Many of them are broken, defective, and practically useless. It is high time for the school to act.
The school is just sweeping dust under the rug. When our chromebooks break, leaving empty promises of replacements is not going to fix the problem. Many students around campus have to wait weeks for computers –Â and that is if they even get one at all.
Instead of funding the AI, Khanmigo, WLMS should be acquiring more computers. Having working computers is equally beneficial, if not more than having the AI. For example, if a student does not have a chromebook and has to do a paper-based version of the assignment (which would actually be more work for the teachers), their resources would be more limited. They would not even be able to access Khanmigo and other similar programs.
It is the 21st century; we need to keep up with this rapidly advancing technological world we live in.

I’m glad you care about having good equipment! WLMS doesn’t have much to do with the state of the Chromebooks. Those are provided by the District. It’s the job of each person to care for them. In regard to Khanmigo, that’s also funded by the District. Just making sure we know that these issues go way above WLMS. Great article!
