Chocolate ice cream.

Vanilla ice cream holds the hearts of many people in our world, but why? To me, vanilla ice cream is so basic and tastes like air, so I prefer chocolate over vanilla. Chocolate ice cream can be decorated with almost all toppings and still taste good. However, chocolate ice cream doesn’t need toppings to taste good, but vanilla ice cream does.

Let us take sprinkles, for example. Sprinkles are a common vanilla topping because they taste good with the flavor. However, removing the sprinkles leaves you with the nasty, basic vanilla ice cream. Now if you have chocolate with sprinkles, it tastes amazing, but then you remove the sprinkles, and it still tastes amazing. This is a perk that vanilla ice cream will never be able to do in my eyes.

I chose to live my life to the fullest, meaning being ‘basic’ is not something I enjoy. Eating plain, air-tasting vanilla ice cream is something I don’t enjoy. However, my not being basic all my life is not affecting why I don’t like vanilla ice cream. Vanilla ice cream tastes like nothing to me, and if you don’t agree, that’s okay because you are entitled to your opinion.
