The Dodgers’ first baseman, Freddie Freeman, tied the World Series homer record by hitting a home run in five games in a row. This astonishing feat was only executed once in 2017 and 2019 by George Springer.
Nursing a sprained ankle from a game against San Diego, Freeman had to take six days off in the beginning of the World Series. His performance during the rest of the games certainly redeemed him for his absence.
Freeman had already earned a similar title in his previous games for his skills at the bat. In the 2021 World Series, he homered in the first three games — an accomplishment that was only made twice by Barry Bonds in 2002 and Hank Bauer in 1958.
With his seven RBIs and five homers, Freeman has helped his team to victory in the 2024 World Series.
