Mexico’s floating gardens are food sources and homes for the Mexicans and the animals in Mexico. Unfortunately, due to deforestation and overpopulation.
Mexico’s floating gardens are useful for the inhabitants of Mexico because they provide food and space for animals and people. These forests are known as “Chinampas” in Mexico. The food that these gardens provide many fruits and vegetables for the inhabitants. This area also provides space for farms to allow animals and humans to live.
Unfortunately, these large fields and forests have been cut down due to overpopulation and deforestation. The food grown in the gardens does not make much money for the people there, which threatens them and causes them to lose money and move away from their sacred gardens.
After further research people have been helping the gardens by saving money for the farmers working nearby to protect the Chinampas. As more people protect the garden more animals and plants are saved from destruction.
