Q: What is your favorite aspect about being a band director?
A: Watching the students show growth walking into the band room as a sixth grader, not knowing how to play an instrument, to being able to play and perform beautiful music by the time they are in eighth grade. I also love the camaraderie that the band students have in the program.
Q: What is one thing you wish the school would have that it does not have already?
A: Free cake in the mailroom everyday!
Q: What is your position in the RCA House system?
A: I am a teacher and I am in Amistad.
Q: What do you like most about WLMS?
A: I love the teachers and the staff and our administrative team. I feel like everyone supports one another.
Q: Do you have any advice for students who are getting ready for high school?
A: Always strive to do your best. Never settle for just a mediocre effort. Use the time that you have here at Landings to your advantage. We have a lot of teachers on staff that are very wise and have a lot to teach our students. Be a sponge and learn as much as you can; not only about academics, but about discipline, working hard, and setting goals.

Mrs. Nichols is 1 if not the best teacher here in my opinion. She does so much us and helps out so much. She incorporates humor into our lessons and make it fun to learn with her. Sometime we can be frustrating for her, but she still makes the best of it and teaches us as much as possible. My sister went here and took band and she has moved onto high school playing the trumpet which she learned how to play from Mrs. Nichols.
