Recently, the Moana 2 movie came out on Nov 27, 2024. Advertisements say it is “The best movie in the world” (quote from a Spotify ad), but is it? I watched the movie on Saturday, November 30th, and here is my review.
My overall rating is a 9/10. I wouldn’t say that it is ‘the best movie in the world,’ but it is pretty good. The movie starts off a little slow in the beginning, but it gets more intense and interesting in the middle and end.
The songs in the movie are good, and I would love to see feature generations singing the songs from this movie as they grow up. I feel like the most popular song with kids would be “Getting Lost” by Awhimai Fraser. This song is very catchy and upbeat, which would appeal to kids more.
Now one of the reasons I give this movie a high rating is because, in some theaters, they give popcorn buckets or cups with moana designs. This is such a great way to celebrate a movie that most of us grew up with. I definitely recommend this movie to viewers.
