After its release in 2010, How to Train Your Dragon became one of the most successful films in 2010. Now after 15 years, the newest adaptation of the story will be aired. Scheduled to release on June 13, 2025 (which just so happens to be Friday the 13th), the new live action How to Train Your Dragon is eagerly awaited.
The director of the live action movie is Dean DeBlois, who also directed and co-directed the animated movies. The cast includes Mason Thames as Hiccup, Gerard Butler as Stoick, and Nico Parker as Astrid. It was filmed in Northern Ireland, which looks considerably similar to the Isle of Berk, the setting of How to Train Your Dragon.
This worldwide hit actually started from a book series, written by Cressida Cowell. Soon after it was published in 2003, it became a very popular children’s book. Seven years later, it was made into an animated movie. Now, this year, it will be made into a live action film.
