Due to the climate in the south, the NBA has announced that they will need to reschedule some college, WNBA, and NBA games.
Some examples of the games were Milwaukee Bucks vs. Pelicans who had to change the date due to the snow storm causing a foot of snow in New Orleans, just like the Tigers game that had to be changed from Thursday to Friday because of the North Carolina team not being able to fly to South Carolina in time. The Sun Belt Conference has stated that “Hazardous travel conditions” affect changing dates for men’s basketball games.
Micheal Bonnette, LSU spokesman, has canceled classes through Thursday because of the cold winter weather. But officials from the Athletics were confident that the women’s basketball team would still be able to fly out of Baton Rouge for Thursday’s game. The NBA officials said the game on Thursday would be the Bucks vs. Heat, but it will all depend on whether or not the Bucks can fly out of New Orleans just in time for the game.
