During the COVID-19 pandemic, we experienced what it was like to attend online classes. After the worry started to fade, we were able to return to our normal in-person classes. While many prefer online classes, I believe they are worse than face-to-face schooling.
Starting, it is harder to focus when you are at home and trying to learn. You are surrounded by tons of distractions, such as other family members, TVs, pets, video game systems, your phone, etc. It is harder to stay focused when you can do whatever you want, such as turning off your camera and going to play video games. Knowing that they can’t do too much about it makes it even harder.
Also, face-to-face school is much more fun than staring at a screen. In school, you’re able to have fun with your friends, and it’s much easier to communicate with other students. It’s also much easier to focus on your schoolwork since it is physically right in front of you. In addition, kids need to learn face-to-face. Overall, online classes are just way worse than face-to-face classes.
