The worry and anticipation of finding these monkeys has come to an end. Over the last month, 43 monkeys have escaped all over South Carolina. The zoo keepers may have thought they caught them all, but the last four were still standing. After causing the zoo keepers to worry, these troublemakers were finally captured.
Now you may wonder: how did 43 monkeys get to escape? Well, for starters, they were all female, and the keepers had them in a facility called Alpha Gensis. That’s where they breed them. This place is also known as the “monkey farm”. In the best way to say it, they left the enclosure unlocked and the monkeys got out.
Luckily, after the monkeys were captured, they were taken safely home to the CEO, Greg Westergaard. While they were on the loose, it had been the first time it snowed, about 3 inches. It was a surprising shock to everyone.
