Valentine’s Day, as we all know, takes place in February. Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate romantic relationships, friendships, and admiration. Starting in the eighth century, Valentine’s Day is still celebrated around the world by millions of people on February 14th.
I think it should be a larger holiday. Although it’s celebrated globally, it’s still only one day of the month. During February, stores offer Valentine’s items, but if you were to compare it to other holidays like Christmas, it would be seen as small or unimportant. I beg to differ, Christmas essentially takes up the end of November to the end of December, Valentine’s Day is to celebrate your relationships with the people around you. February should be dedicated to this idea so that there’s at least one month out of the year when people can connect through their friendships and the people they love.
