“Moana 2” was recently released in theaters on November 29, 2024, but many people are wondering when it will be streamed on Disney+.
In the past, Disney started streaming their movies on Disney+ about 3 months after the movie is released, so many people are expecting to watch Moana 2 March 1, 2025. However, there are some rumors going around that this particular movie will not be released until the middle of March.
The creators of Disney were not planning on making “Moana 2”. They were actually originally planning on making a Moana series. However, after seeing that the first Moana was one of the most popular movies of that year (making $680 million), they decided to make Moana 2.
In this new movie, Moana will be going on the biggest adventure she has ever been on after hearing a call from her ancestors. Maui, Hei Hei, and Pua will be accompanying her as she once again travels beyond the reef.
You should also be on the lookout for the live action Moana, being released on July 10, 2026. Catherine Laga’aia will be playing Moana, and Dwayne Johnson will be playing Maui. Dwayne Johnson was actually the voice of Maui in the original Moana, so he already knows Maui’s character and personality, making it easier for him to act as Maui.
