The app TikTok has been under security for years. Recently, the app had reached what people thought was the end. It officially shuts down. But 16 hours later, it was back. People rejoiced, but if you ask me, I believe TikTok should’ve been banned. Many people have become addicted to the app and feel they can’t function properly without it. TikTok has so many things wrong with it, like scammers, inappropriate people, underage kids, etc.
TikTok has so many scammers, and this is unacceptable. Examples include the get money quick scam, fake donation scams, fake verification badges, fake business accounts, and more.
So many underage kids watch inappropriate or weird things on TikTok, and it has affected them in such horrible ways. People compare themselves to others and what they see on social media. They forget that this is a highlight reel, and people don’t usually post their hard times.
Overall, society spends too much time on its phones. Apps like TikTok can be addictive, and instead of doom-scrolling, it would be more beneficial to get out into the world and explore!
