AI usage has been increasing now more than ever. Due to its ability to answer a question in seconds and its ability to lighten work loads, AI is being used in businesses, schools, websites, and essentially daily life.
Some well known companies that are starting to take advantage of AI include Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and even Netflix. Businesses even use AI in place of some people in certain careers. For example, jobs like customer service and data entry are being taken place by AI. Even ads are being created with AI!
Education is also being cast in a whole light because of AI. AI platforms can teach and answer questions with ease, making it an efficient way to teach. However, there are some setbacks regarding certain students’ use of it. For instance, many students use AI to answer questions in their homework or other assignments. This is unfair and extremely aggravating to students who actually think when doing their homework. Thankfully, the SATs and other tests will act like the sword in the stone, letting only the worthy – or in this case the non-cheaters – pass.
In all, AI is becoming a nearly essential part of life. However, should it gain a sense of self, we shall see where its loyalties lie.
