Multiple people experience and play in a sensory box with different textures.
A sensory box has been placed near the entrance of the 100 building. The sensory box includes many textures, such as rocks, fake grass, and various other objects. It was created by Graham Kassis in order to help the ESE members experience a range of different textures of objects. Sensory boxes have many pros and can have long-term positive effects on the people who use them.
Sensory bins, or boxes, can help children explore new textures and promote developmental skills. By allowing for hands-on play, they can also help with social and language development. Sensory bins can also help calm both children and adults in stressful situations, providing leisure. For many people,, having a place where they can just have a break and calm down is extremely helpful.
