On April 25, 2025, two bears were spotted playing on a family’s playground equipment in Simsbury, Connecticut.
Sarah Loving and her family had just returned from an afternoon lunch when she spotted the two bears wandering in her backyard.
The sudden appearance of wildlife didn’t surprise her, as many bears would knock down the neighborhood’s trash cans on trash day, searching for food to eat.
Loving started filming when one of the bears started climbing up the stairs to the slide. Once he made it to the landing, he shockingly slid down as if he had done it many times.
The bears continued frolicking in the yard, then proceeded to the yard next to Loving’s.
Sarah Loving says that the bears hung around for a total of 10 minutes, and she likes joking with her family that the bears have been here before. “They seemed so comfortable on the playscape,” she says.
