WLMS is a great school but, students should be able to express themselves. Many students buy or own clothing that they love but can’t wear due to the strict dress code. Everything from shirts to pants should be allowed to be out of dress code.
During FAST testing, students would like to wear leggings or comfortable shirts. But the dress code doesn’t allow that. If we cannot wear leggings to school, then we could at least where an out-of-dress code shirt or sweatshirt. When we were in elementary school, we used to wear “uniforms”, we were also told that we would be able to wear whatever we wanted once we were in middle school. That just happened to not be true.
Students should be allowed to wear whatever they want. Maybe just be limited to nothing violent or scandalous. We have fun Fridays, so why not have no dress code on Fridays. There are many solutions to this problem, so hopefully it gets solved soon.
