On April 26th, there was a speedboat race called the Desert Storm Race on Lake Havasu in Arizona, and one of the speedboats flipped when trying to break a record of reaching over 200MPH. Once they got to 200.1 MPH, the speedboat lifted.
Both passengers in the speedboat survived. AP news says, “They wore harnesses and helmets, and were just a little banged up,” according to a Facebook post by the Freedom One Racing team and an account by a race witness. The boat that they were driving is meant to rise up when it reaches a certain speed. The conditions of the weather on the day contributed to the boat taking flight.
