This kangaroo named Sheila shut down the Alabama interstate just last Tuesday, April 29th, 2025. When people reported the incident of a kangaroo being on the loose the Macon County Sheriff thought it was a prank. He couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw that it was real. Sheila’s owner, Patrick Starr, had to come in with troops to tranquilize Sheila.
Luckily he updated everyone saying,“She’s back home safe. She’s up. She’s not sedated anymore. She’s eating. She’s drinking. She’s not injured,” Luckily nothing bad happened to her or else Starr would’ve been devastated. While he was updating us he told us how sweet she is and how lucky he is to have her back home and safe.
Sheila had shut down interstate 85 which is in between Montgomery and Auburn. They ended up capturing her on the side of an interstate in between Tuskegee and Auburn. Remember when you see a kangaroo on the road, slow down.
