The Florida phone ban is not beneficial for many Florida schools because students with phones have the opportunity to study on their devices. They can also use it in an emergency when they need to contact a parent or guardian, and having the phone banned or not in reach could make a difference in a critical situation. Phones are also useful in non-critical situations like bus delays.

In some classes, like TV Production and Journalism, using our phones could be helpful. In journalism, being in the class first hand it is hard and process to get photos when using your phone would make them much easier. Also in TV Production, we could use phones to record videos and get a better feed for the news and projects. Some people argue that you could use your Chromebook for pictures, but phone graphics are way better than the Chromebook’s graphics
