On October 6, 2025, McDonald’s brought back the Monopoly reward system. Monopoly has officially been brought back to McDonald’s after ten years. The Monopoly is a temporary promotion reward system where you collect virtual or physical game pieces. Back in 2015 the Monopoly system was used on a game board but now the modern version is on the McDonald’s app.

To play Monopoly you have to download the McDonald’s app and register. Then you have to order items from the menu to receive a game piece on the app or in person. For the digital game pieces, you “peel” a tab and your prize is revealed. For the physical game pieces, you peel directly from the package and there will be a QR code to scan on the McDonald’s app.

Players that are registered are entering a chance to win from a “pool of amazing prizes”. McDonald’s customers will have the chance to win things such as free food, 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, $1 million in cash, and many other prizes. McDonald’s said, “Don’t just dream of MONOPOLY Money – come play for the real thing. The next big winner could be you!”
