Drawing is a lot of fun. However there are plenty of ways to draw even better. Whether it be by shading, background, or even adding small details.
Shading is really important as it can really help make a drawing look a lot better, like in sunsets or scenes with a lot of shadows. But before adding shading, you need to know where the light source is. If there’s light on one side there should be shading on the opposite side where the light from said source isn’t touching the object.
Backgrounds, if done correctly, can add a lot of depth and action to the drawing. Because there’s the main object that’s the main focus but now there’s all this other stuff going on in the background that people can look at. A background can also add context to what’s going on in a drawing, as it gives a setting and what’s going on.
Small details such as nails, knuckles, or even a cloud really adds a lot to a drawing. It gives a drawing more detail, making it looks nicer in general. Giving whoever is looking at the drawing more to look at.
