Three Valentine’s Day Recipes

Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, here are some recipes people can make.

 

  1. Chocolate-Covered Strawberries: Ingredients:

Fresh strawberries, Dark chocolate chips, and White chocolate chips

 Instructions: 

  1. Rinse and dry the strawberries thoroughly. 2. Melt the dark chocolate chips in a double boiler. 
  2. Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate and place it on parchment paper to dry.
  3. Melt the white chocolate chips in a double boiler.
  4. Drizzle the white chocolate over the dark chocolate-covered strawberries.
  5. Allow the chocolate-covered strawberries to cool and harden before serving

 

  1. Heart-Shaped Pizza: 

Ingredients: 

Pizza dough, Tomato sauce, Shredded mozzarella cheese, Pepperoni slices, and Heart-shaped cookie cutter 

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. 
  2. Roll out the pizza dough and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the pizza crust. 
  3. Spread tomato sauce on the pizza crust. 
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the tomato sauce. 
  5. Place pepperoni slices on top of the cheese. 
  6. Bake the heart-shaped pizza for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

 

  1. Red Velvet Cupcakes: 

Ingredients: 

2 ½ cups All-purpose flour, ½ cup Unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of Baking soda, ½ teaspoon Salt, 1 cup Unsalted butter, 2 cups Granulated sugar, 4 Eggs, ¼ cup of Red food coloring, 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract 

– ½ cup Buttermilk 

– 1 (8 ounces) pack of Cream cheese 

– ½ cup of Powdered sugar 

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. 
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. 
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix well. 
  5. Add red food coloring and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture. 
  6. Mix in the dry ingredients and buttermilk, alternating between the two. 
  7. Spoon the batter into cupcake liners and bake for 18-20 minutes. 
  8. For the frosting, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. 
  9. Decorate the cooled cupcakes with the cream cheese.
