The worldwide schoolhouse system has 4 main houses, but there are 8 in total. Sometimes, schools will add houses or remove them. One of the 4 main houses, however, is Altruismo. The House of Altruismo stands for the House of Givers.
The house of Altruismo originated in the rainforests of the Amazon, where a group of powerful Brazilians were given the name Altruismo, or in English, the givers. Since the Portuguese first discovered the powerful Brazilian tribe, they were given their name in Portuguese. That’s why Altruismo is named Altruismo and not the givers or just giver(s). They were discovered at the time of the discovery of the New World, no one knows their exact date, but it is most likely between 1492, and 1504.
The House of Altruismo is the House of the Givers which is what they symbolize, and what their house stands for. It is one of the four main houses, (Altruismo, Isibindi, Amistad, and Reveur). Its house pet is the Griffen which is a cross between an eagle and a lion because it is one of the most powerful animals.
