Teachers have been able to grade their students since 1897, they grade based on performance, completion, participation, and other things of the sort. So why can’t students do the same?
If students were to be able to get the chance to grade their teachers, not only will teachers get benefits but so will students. Teachers should be graded on how well they can explain the topics, communicate, etc. Teachers can get first-hand experience on how students feel about their class.
Some students might not take this idea seriously but if they want to see changes in teachers they would have to be unbiased or truthful, and instead speak about the truth and how they feel about them. Teachers might think this wouldn’t work because the students might grade the teachers more biasedly, but that’s how students feel about their grades. Many schools have started getting their students to grade their teachers, especially colleges and high schools, and most of the results say that they have seen improvements in their teachers.
This could bring big improvements to the school. Giving the school great ratings about their teachers. Students should always be able to grade their teachers.
