Katie Ledecky is a Female Olympic swimmer. She has competed in four Olympics. In 2012, her first Olympics, she won gold in the 800m freestyle at 15 years old. In just 4 Olympics she was able to get 14 medals, 9 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze.
In the 2024 Olympics, Katie won 4 medals in total. She won 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze. Being that she is 27 years old, it is crazy that she is able to do so well in long-distance swimming. In the 1500m freestyle, she won gold by 10 seconds!
After the 2024 Olympics, she took the lead as the most decorated female Olympian. Katie said that she will take it year by year to decide if she will compete in the 2028 Olympics. At that time, she will be 31 years old and not know if she will be in good enough shape to compete.
