Lebron James has had one of the longest, most influential, and powerful careers of all time. He has dominated the NBA for 23 years in a row. He has missed the first 14 games of the 2025-2026 season.
Before he had the longest career, he was tied last season with Vince Carter at 22 seasons. He played from 1998-20220. The Lakers had a very bad start this season without Lebron. This goes to show that lebron has such an important role with the lakers. This will probably be his last season for many reasons, his age is taking a toll on his performance, his wife is pushing him to retire, he can’t keep up with the younger stars, and it’s his 23 season, and 23 is his number so it would be a good time to retire.
On February 2, 2023, lebron shot a fadeaway jumper against the Oklahoma City Thunder, surpassing Kareem Ablul-Jabbar’s record. Kareem held this record for 48 years, acquiring it on April 4, 1984.
